Professional Requirements
- The position is offered to a GDC registered UK trained qualified Dental Nurse with a minimum of one year experience in UK dental practice although consideration will also be given to a newly qualified candidate.
- Comprehensive knowledge of infection control protocols and CQC requirements
- Excellent communication skills and patient-centred approach
- Knowledge of Dental Implants, Orthodontic and Dento-alveolar surgical procedures will be a recommendation but training will be provided in the absence of such knowledge
Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a wide range of clinical procedures
- Manage sterilisation processes and clinical inventory
- Support patient care and education with an empathetic and compassionate approach
- Assist with radiographic examination
- Assist with intraoral 3D photographic scanning
- Maintain cleanliness of all aspects of the surgery and the decontamination room
- Maintain accurate patient records using computer systems
- Willingness to support reception and administrative duties as needed
- Eagerness to learn and study new techniques
