Demand Planner / Supply Chain Analyst (Forecasting & S&OP) – Location: Cheshire | Industry: Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly analytical Demand Planner / Supply Chain Analyst to join a leading manufacturing business. This role is central to driving accurate forecasting, supply chain efficiency, and ensuring strong collaboration across commercial, operations, and supply functions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts across multiple product categories.
  • Support the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Analyse historical data, market trends, and customer insights to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Work closely with commercial, operations, and supply chain teams to align on demand requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and highlight risks to supply or excess stock.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects within planning and forecasting.
Experience / Skills
  • Experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning within manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficient with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reporting tools); experience with ERP / SAP IBP or similar tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders across different business functions.
  • A proactive problem-solver with excellent attention to detail.
