Overview

Demand Planner – Castle Donington area; commutable from Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, and surrounding areas.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + excellent benefits.

We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly transforming business within the food manufacturing industry for an experienced and strategic Demand Planner. This is a key role within a dynamic supply chain team, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company\'s ability to meet customer demands efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with business plans and market dynamics.
  • Inventory Optimisation: Ensure optimal stock levels by balancing customer demand with supply capabilities, minimising stockouts, and reducing excess inventory.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse large data sets to identify trends and variances, providing insights that influence business decisions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track forecast accuracy, demand variations, and key supply chain metrics, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance forecasting accuracy and improve the efficiency of supply chain operations.
What We\'re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Demand Planner or in a similar supply chain role.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with multiple departments.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and demand planning software (experience with MRP / ERP is a plus).
