Job Title: Delegated Authority Technician

Salary Range: £45,000 - £65,000

Description: We are seeking a Delegated Authority Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering delegated underwriting management practices, engaging with stakeholders including Coverholders, brokers, and Lloyd’s, and supporting internal projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitating approval of new Coverholders and Binding Authority Agreements
  2. Handling Coverholder applications under the guidance of the Head of Delegated Underwriting Authority
  3. Managing approval of renewals, including data preparation, due diligence, and agreement drafting
  4. Undertaking Conduct Risk reviews on Coverholders and referring to the Product Oversight Committee as needed
  5. Resolving audit recommendations related to Coverholders
  6. Drafting documentation for direct deal facilities
  7. Reviewing and managing sign-off of lineslips and consortiums
  8. Ensuring accurate risk entry and rating in the underwriting system
  9. Monitoring premium income and commissions against estimates
  10. Participating in the quarterly Delegated Authority Management Group
  11. Processing bordereaux onto internal and Lloyd’s systems
  12. Maintaining logs related to bordereaux receipt and status
  13. Monitoring data quality and liaising with Underwriters, Coverholders, and Brokers to resolve issues
