A leading national law firm in Glasgow is seeking a Solicitor with 1-3 years' PQE to join their Insurance team. This role offers the chance to handle a diverse range of cases, from employers' liability to complex high-value matters. The firm promotes a collaborative culture and encourages personal development through exposure to various legal challenges. It's an excellent opportunity for solicitors looking for growth in a supportive environment.
At QED Legal, I’m delighted to be working with a leading national firm who are looking to add to their Insurance team in Glasgow.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a Solicitor with around 1–3 years’ PQE who enjoys the challenge of running a varied caseload and being part of a highly supportive team. You’ll be working on a mix of matters including employers’ and public liability, disease and motor work – including some fraud. Alongside managing your own pre-litigated and litigated files, you’ll also get exposure to more complex, high-value cases, giving you the chance to keep stretching your skills and experience.
What makes this role stand out is the breadth it offers. In a legal market that often pushes lawyers to specialise very early, this team gives you the chance to handle a real variety of work, building a broad skill set and keeping every day interesting. It’s the sort of environment where you’re not boxed in, and you’re able to develop expertise across a wide spectrum of insurance and litigation matters.
The firm works with a wide range of clients, from insurers and insureds through to local authorities, so no two days are ever the same. You’ll have the chance to handle your own cases day-to-day – investigating liability, liaising with clients, opponents, witnesses and the court – but equally, you’ll be supported by and learn from a team of experts who are known for their excellence across the UK.
This is very much a role where you’ll be encouraged to grow – whether that’s through working closely with senior colleagues, getting involved in client development and training, or building your profile through networking and speaking opportunities. You’ll be part of a values-driven firm that invests in its people and offers a genuinely collaborative culture, where quality of work and client service go hand in hand.
If you’re a solicitor in Glasgow looking for that next step, this could be a fantastic fit. I’d love to tell you more – feel free to get in touch with me, Neil at QED Legal, for a confidential chat.
