Insurance Solicitor – Belfast

I’m currently partnering with one of Northern Ireland’s most respected commercial law firms, which is seeking to expand its Defence Litigation team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified solicitor with strong experience in defendant personal injury or clinical negligence work to join a market-leading team handling high-quality, complex cases on behalf of major insurers, healthcare organisations, and self-insured clients.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Managing a varied caseload of defendant litigation matters, including EL/PL and clinical negligence.
  • Advising a high-profile client base, including leading insurers and healthcare providers.
  • Working alongside top-ranked partners and associates in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
  • Participating in client meetings, case strategy, and business development initiatives.
Criteria:
  • Qualified Solicitor (NI or England & Wales) with around 2–5 years PQE (flexible depending on experience).
  • Solid background in defendant litigation (personal injury or clinical negligence preferred).
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and case management skills.
  • A genuine interest in developing expertise in complex litigation work.
