Overview

We're looking for an innovative Data Solution Architect to join our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division. You'll be part of a dynamic team driving transformation through cloud-native data solutions that improve customer engagement and deliver meaningful insights. Working alongside platform architects, data product owners and engineering teams, you'll help define the technical direction of our data strategy. This role offers the opportunity to work on pioneering projects using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, while mentoring others and contributing to a culture of learning and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and deliver cloud-native data solutions on GCP to support systems of insight and engagement
  • Own the migration of legacy platforms (Teradata, SQL Server) to GCP-native tooling
  • Design and implement reusable data products for analytics, reporting and client engagement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technical architecture and delivery roadmaps
  • Define and implement data governance standards including metadata management and access controls
  • Support DevOps practices using tools like Terraform, GitLab and Cloud Build
Qualifications
  • Confirmed experience as a Data Solution Architect with hands-on expertise in GCP and/or Azure
  • Strong proficiency in GCP services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer and Looker
  • Experience migrating data from legacy platforms to cloud-native environments
  • Expertise in data modelling, pipeline development and real-time data streaming
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture, API integration and microservices
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and GitLab
