A national policing support organization is seeking a Data Protection Manager to provide specialist advice across UK police forces. This role involves developing training packages to promote data protection best practices and supporting proactive data sharing. The position allows for hybrid working and offers generous benefits including annual leave and development opportunities.
Location: Near Fareham
Salary: £45,147 - £48,894 per annum (pending 4.2% pay award)
Hours per week : 37 Hours, (Part-time can be discussed) Monday - Friday with flexible office hours
Contract Type: Temporary 12 months with the possibility of extension

The organisation has two main functions - manage and coordinate national Data Protection activity, and also Freedom of Information, acting as the central conduit for advice and guidance across UK forces.
They are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join the organisation as a Data Protection Manager.
This is a unique opportunity to work within a national policing unit. You will work within the organisation providing a specialist advice and support service to all UK police forces in respect of data protection legislation. You will, develop, maintain and deliver a National DP Training packages, designed to promote DP best practice across the Police Service, mitigating the risk of breaches and ICO regulatory action.
This role provides the opportunity to make national change across policing with Data Sharing practices, working closely with the NPCC and external stakeholders. All to enable proactive data sharing practices in policing and provide support and advice to police forces on all things data protection.
The organisation supports flexible working requests, which will be considered for this vacancy. The successful applicant must work a minimum of 28 hours, across 3-4 days. Working hours can be discussed at interview.
