About the Role

As a Data Governance Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring your organization adheres to data governance policies and standards. You’ll bring a sharp eye for detail, a strong sense of control, and excellent analytical skills to the table. Your ability to communicate clearly—both in writing and verbally—will be essential as you collaborate with data stewards and other stakeholders to maintain consistency in data procedures, ensure the accuracy of master data, and promote transparency in data-related matters.

This is a hybrid role based in Warren, NJ, London, or Madrid, where you’ll work 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with data governance policies, standards, and procedures when adding new data elements, columns, tables, reports, and master data.
  • Perform data stewardship tasks, including documenting and maintaining the business glossary.
  • Maintain documentation for data governance activities, such as the glossary of business terms, data dictionary, process documentation, and data lineage.
  • Review and validate reports for accuracy, completeness, and reliability, ensuring proper documentation, lineage tracking, and owner involvement.
  • Use workflows to manage the certification process of reports, working closely with report owners to ensure compliance.
  • Track and analyze data quality incidents, coordinating with data stewards and data owners to resolve issues effectively.
  • Monitor and present data quality metrics and KPIs to senior leadership.
  • Oversee the creation, updating, and ongoing management of master data sets, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to business users and data stewards on the appropriate use and selection of master data sets.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and validations of master data to maintain accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SQL queries and data management tools is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Minimal to no travel is required.
Compensation and Benefits

US only: The base salary range for this position is $88,000 - $130,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
