Job description
About Choreograph: A Leading WPP Media Brand

Choreograph is WPP’s global data products and technology company. We’re on a mission to transform marketing by building the fastest, most connected data platform that bridges marketing strategy to scaled activation.

We work with agencies and clients to transform the value of data by bringing together technology, data and analytics capabilities. We deliver this through the Open Media Studio, an AI-enabled media and data platform for the next era of advertising.

We’re endlessly curious. Our team of thinkers, builders, creators and problem solvers are over 1,000 strong, across 20 markets around the world.

Role Summary and Impact

We’re looking for a data leader to lead the development and delivery of data pipelines, reporting frameworks, and quality monitoring tools for our clients in the UK.

You will be joining the BI & Data Management team, a community of BI & data engineering specialists within Choreograph responsible for transforming marketing data into actionable insights and performance reporting across some of the UK’s largest digital media investments.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on data leader who can drive robust reporting outcomes while also shaping team workflows, ensuring data reliability, and championing best practices in data modelling and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end‑to‑end development of data workflows from ingestion to modelling and dashboard outputs, ensuring data is reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

Reporting & Performance Enablement

Oversee the delivery of performance dashboards and data quality tools used by media, analytics, and client teams. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business questions into reporting solutions.

Team Management

Lead and coach a small team of analysts and analytics engineers. Define priorities, shape delivery roadmaps, and embed a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Taxonomy & Data Standards

Ensure consistent application of marketing taxonomies, data definitions, and platform mappings (e.g. campaign metadata, brand/product categorisation, measurement KPIs).

Data Quality & Governance

Drive the development of monitoring tools that highlight issues in data completeness, accuracy, and consistency across platforms and sources.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work cross‑functionally with media activation teams, platform engineers, data governance leads, and product teams to deliver reliable, privacy‑compliant data solutions.

Skills and Experience

At WPP Media, we believe in the power of our culture and our people. It’s what elevates us to deliver exceptional experiences for both our clients and each other. In this role it will be critical to embrace WPP & WPP Media’s shared core values:

  • Be Extraordinary by Leading Collectively to Inspire transformational Creativity.
  • Create an Open environment by Balancing People and Client Experiences by Cultivating Trust.
  • Lead Optimistically by Championing Growth and Development to Mobilize the Enterprise.
  • Proven experience leading business intelligence or analytics engineering teams in a fast‑paced, data‑rich environment
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing data — across platforms like Meta, Google Ads, DV360, Amazon, and offline sources
  • Expertise in cloud data platforms (e.g. Google BigQuery), data transformation tools (e.g. dbt, SQL), and reporting platforms (e.g. Power BI, Looker Studio)
  • Deep understanding of analytics engineering best practices, including modular model design, version control, automated testing, and documentation standards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical delivery while confidently engaging with non‑technical stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a strong focus on data governance, quality, and documentation
