Job summary

A leading technology firm in the UK is seeking a Data & Analytics Test Engineer for a 6-month contract with a focus on test automation and ETL/ELT processes. This role includes defining test requirements, designing automated tests, and collaborating with stakeholders for successful project deliveries. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in various testing methodologies and a solid background in SQL and automation tools. The position offers remote work one day a week.

Qualifications

• Strong background in functional, system, acceptance, and automated testing.
• Experience with agile delivery, test automation, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, BI, and big data.
• Advanced SQL skills; APS knowledge desirable.
• Ability to write complex queries and use scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Define test requirements from project documentation.
• Design, automate, and execute tests for ETL/ELT solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to secure sign-off based on test results.
• Troubleshoot issues, raise and track defects.
• Maintain and evolve the long-term Data & Analytics Test Strategy.
• Contribute to agile ceremonies, produce test documentation.
• Lead development of automated regression suites.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and governance standards.
