A health services organization in the UK is seeking a PCN Operations and Contracts Officer to provide operational support, contract administration, and project coordination. The role requires a proactive individual with extensive primary care knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities include financial management, overseeing meetings and supervising staff. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and be educated to degree level, with knowledge of SystmOne and XERO software, as well as a valid UK driving license.
As the PCN Operations and Contract Officer, you will support the PCN Business and Governance Manager in advancing the network's agenda through day-to-day operational support, contract administration, and project coordination. The remit of this role is dynamic and therefore requires a proactive, flexible individual with extensive primary care knowledge, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Darlington Primary Care Network (PCN) comprises 11 General Practices with a combined population of approximately 115,000 patients. The purpose of Darlington PCN is to bring GP practices together with the wider health and care system, including acute and community providers, its GP Federation, and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, to reach our vision in "redefining healthcare equality and transforming our community into a model of exceptional and accessible patient care for all".
Operational Support:
Facilitating the smooth day-to-day running of PCN operations, including:
Supervising the Business Support Administrator
Overseeing and monitoring the 12-month rolling PCN meeting calendar
Overseeing and monitoring of the PCN TeamNet page
Overseeing and monitoring the externally managed PCN Facebook page
Attendance at engagement events/other meetings when required
Supporting financial management (XERO reconciliation and updating monthly practice spreadsheets)
Contract Administration:
Attendance at and minute-taking of quarterly Subcontract Review Meetings
Attendance at and minute-taking of PCN Executive Board Meetings
Chasing/updating meeting action logs
Overseeing and monitoring of annual Subcontract renewals and PCN Agreements
Project Coordination:
Supporting the planning and implementation of new services, pilots, and projects
To ensure that digital and operational PCN transformation is embedded in, and aligned with national strategies
Health and Safety / Risk Management
The post-holder will comply with the Data Protection Act (1984) and the Access to Health Records Act (1990).

Special Working Conditions
The post-holder is required to travel independently, including travel between practice sites, other provider organisations, and to attend meetings, etc.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
