Job description
Overview

This post works with the Team Managers and Service Line Leadership to develop and improve admin services and data management systems within the service area. The post holder will work largely on own initiative with occasional supervision for day-to-day delivery of services, and must be an effective team player to ensure the integration of administrative services. The role includes managing the administration team across West Hertfordshire PCMHS provided by HPFT and involves visiting sites and providing supervision face to face with staff in Borehamwood, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans and Watford. You will support the administration team daily and attend other meetings regularly.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all contacts and referrals to the Essex Learning Disability Partnership are processed, recorded, and communicated within agreed timescales.
  • Analyse, monitor and act upon weekly performance reports, meeting deadlines (e.g., ensure referrals are contacted and formally communicated).
  • Implement and sustain effective systems for monitoring and maintaining data to inform key performance indicators for the quadrant, utilizing local administrative resources.
  • Ensure consistency across the service in data inputting, filing systems, and quality standards of work.
  • Learn from other services about more efficient practices (including IT) and implement this within own area in partnership with operational management.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of all computerised databases used by Admin staff.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Administrative qualifications (e.g., European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent experience.
  • Trained and experienced in electronic systems relevant to administrators (e.g., patient record systems, procurement systems, staff roster systems).
  • Broad knowledge and experience of working within an administrative environment.
  • Experience of working in an office environment at a senior level.
  • Experience of working with budgets.
  • Experience of people management.
Desirable criteria
  • Management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Problem solving, decision making and analytical skills.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records.
