Job description

Customs clearance Coordinator (Mon‑Fri) required for a freight forwarder based in the Liverpool area. The company has its own customs clearance department and offers excellent training.

The role:
  • Assist the Customs Manager in the execution of duties to support the Head of Customs compliance.
  • Understand and execute the department's vision of good business development to successfully move customs products.
  • Complete all customs import activities correctly and on time, including financial, legal and invoicing transactions for key account traffic.
  • Correctly complete all customs import CDS declarations in line with UK HMRC regulations for the key account processes.
  • Ensure all operational activities are completed on time.
  • Immediately report any amendments to the customs declaration forms to the line manager and engage in communication with the nominated key account.
  • Perform all standard customs clearance duties.
Experience:

We are looking for a Customs Coordinator with at least 2 years of experience in exports/imports and customs compliance and regulations. Knowledge of customs requirements and formalities with a particular focus on UK & EU imports is required. Experience in road transport, logistics or haulage is desirable but not essential. Working knowledge of the CDS system for both imports and exports is also required.
