Customer Service Claims Handlers

£25,000 - £28,000 P/A - depending on experience
Portsmouth
Full time | Permanent | 37.5 hours per week

Are you experienced in delivering excellent standards of customer service? Would you like to be part of a growing, modern, and innovative business? Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client to recruit Customer Service Claims Handlers to join the team.

The main purpose of this role is to be the go-to person for customers, liaising with claimants, clients, and third parties, assessing customers' needs and requests, and ensuring the best course of action.

In return, our client offers a salary of up to £28,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus up to 28 days holiday + bank holidays (rises with length of service), an additional day off for your birthday, onsite gym, fitness classes, wellbeing support, and more!

This role is full time and permanent. The hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Listening to customers' needs and advising on the steps for the best outcome
  2. Assessing customer claims and being the main point of contact while negotiating settlements
  3. Gathering customer information and evidence to ensure a fair decision is made
  4. Maintaining case records and the in-house customer database
  5. Offering excellent customer service and building rapport with each conversation

The ideal candidate:

  • Must have previous office-based, customer service experience, ideally from a B2C, insurance, telecoms, or financial services environment
  • Will be proactive with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a team player, a starter-finisher, with natural problem-solving abilities
  • Seeking a full-time, permanent role with opportunities for career progression
