Norsemen Safety & Industrial Supplies Ltd is a leading supplier of Safety, PPE, and Welding equipment across Northern Ireland, ROI, and the UK. We are expanding our team and looking for a motivated Customer Service & Trade Counter Assistant to join our Belfast operation.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service. You’ll play a key part in supporting our customers — whether it’s at the trade counter, over the phone, or by email — while helping to keep our business running smoothly day to day.

Experience in safety, PPE, welding supplies, or industrial distribution would be an advantage, but it’s not essential. What matters most is your positive attitude, communication skills, and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve customers at the trade counter with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Handle inbound calls and emails, providing excellent customer support
  • Process orders, stock queries, and quotations using Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Assist with upselling and cross-selling products to support sales growth
  • Maintain a tidy and organised trade counter area
  • Work as part of a supportive and friendly team
Skills & Experience Required
  • Fluent spoken & written English
  • Computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel essential)
  • Strong customer service attitude and communication skills
  • Full clean driver’s licence
  • Team player with a proactive approach
  • Background in safety/PPE, welding supplies, or industrial distribution desirable but not essential
Hours & Location
  • Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Based at our Belfast site
