A local government organization in Blyth is seeking a Customer Service Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term position. The role involves assisting customers with various inquiries and providing guidance across multiple services. Candidates should be enthusiastic supporters of customer service, capable of building rapport, and willing to work in different locations within Northumberland. The position offers sociable hours and a supportive working environment with strong emphasis on staff wellbeing.
Blyth Library, 22.2 hours per week.
Working hours - 10:00-14:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday; 10:00-14:15 Wednesday. Fixed Term for 12 months.

The Customer Experience team are the first point of contact for people who get in touch with the council. The team operates a telephone contact centre based in Morpeth and 6 information centres across the county in Berwick, Alnwick, Ashington, Blyth, Cramlington and Hexham. Our Customer Service Advisors work in a hybrid way, working from home and in the office and are part of a tight-knit team supported by our team leaders.
We are passionate about delivering accessible and easy services to everyone. Through meaningful conversations we will provide clear information and advice to our customers.
We provide advice across a wide range of areas including housing, benefits, council tax, blue badges, concessionary travel, household waste, highways, planning and much, much more!

Sociable working hours – shifts vary between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
