Customer Service Advisor

Basildon

Permanent, Full Time

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Customer Service Advisor to join our busy call centre team in Basildon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing first-class service in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for tenants, handling incoming calls and emails and ensuring that repair and maintenance requests are managed efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer calls and emails with professionalism and empathy.
  • Diagnose repair requests and schedule appointments using the MSI system.
  • Co‑ordinate with operatives and subcontractors to allocate jobs effectively.
  • Keep customers updated throughout their repair journey and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Liaise with supervisors and planners to confirm materials, access, and readiness for appointments.
  • Record accurate information to support first‑time fixes and excellent service delivery.
  • Escalate issues when required and support continuous improvement within the team.
About You

We’re looking for someone who :

Qualifications
  • Has experience within social housing, maintenance, or repairs.
  • Has proven experience in a customer service or call centre environment.
  • Is confident handling high call volumes while maintaining quality and empathy.
  • Possesses strong organisational and administrative skills with great attention to detail.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using CRM systems (experience with MSI is advantageous).
