Job summary

A leading insurance provider in Manchester is looking for a motivated individual for a business insurance sales role. You will engage with SME customers, identify cross-selling opportunities, and achieve sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires effective communication, resilience, and the ability to work in a team. Excellent training will be provided to develop your skills and knowledge. Responsibilities
  • Selling business insurance to SME customers, having great conversations to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Outbound calling to preidentified customers to identify opportunities to cross sell and up sell our commercial product line, based on customers' needs.
  • You will have individual targets, which you are accountable for achieving. These are balanced between sales, quality and customer satisfaction while managing your time.
  • You will become an expert in our technical products and our IT systems.
  • Participating in weekly team meetings and huddles to discuss problem solving, as well as reviewing your individual and team performance.
  • Working with other teams across the contact centre to provide good outcomes for our customers and Hiscox.
  • Our trainers will help you build your knowledge of our products and systems. The training is varied and includes online and self-learning. After training, you will move into an Academy to further strengthen your skills. You enjoy selling and providing a great customer experience is important to you.

  • You are driven, highly productive and a team player, who is receptive to feedback and always striving to improve.
  • You are resilient and don't shy away from problems or challenges.
  • Beating and surpassing business goals is what gets you out of bed in the morning.
  • Sales experience is desirable, as well as previous experience in hitting targets.
Working Hours

35 hours a week between 8am - 7pm and Saturdays 10-4pm on a rota/shift basis.
