Overview
My client is a professional property management company based in Northern Ireland and Scotland. They manage residential buildings, apartments, developments and outside spaces which are jointly owned. They have 180 years’ experience and skills to ensure their clients get the most from their home. They would like to recruit a Customer Relationship Manager / Property Manager to join their team in Belfast.
Responsibilities
- As the pivotal contact you will work with autonomy to manage a portfolio of residential developments.
- Build and develop professional working relationships with clients on the Management Committee, internal staff and suppliers.
- Meet with property owners, residents and committee members to discuss services and agree a plan to uphold maintenance, general standards and management of the development.
- Agree budgets, advise on planned expenditure and seek permission prior to work being started.
- Work to maximise the revenue generated through fees, commissions and technical management charges.
- Liaise with contractors, raise job orders, confirm and record the specification of the work, negotiate rates and credit terms, and ensure compliance with regulation/legal governance.
- Conduct regular site inspections and attend meetings including the AGM to advise on works progress, expenditure, financial statements, bills, arrears, etc.
- Manage telephone calls, emails and written correspondence in a timely, accurate and professional fashion.
- Upload all customer records onto the website, including site inspections, minutes from residents’ meetings, and other pertinent information for the development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent communication skills; self-confident and adept at initiating and building professional client relationships while being open, honest and transparent in all interactions.
- Knowledge of facilities/property management/building.
- Ability to quickly understand and interpret complex problems with the ability to summarise and explain to residents.
- Multitasker with the ability to change priorities while maintaining attention to detail in record keeping.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office including Outlook.
- Valid UK Driving License.
Starting Salary and Benefits
Starting salary of £32,000 to £40,000 negotiable based on proven skills and relevant experience.
- Working hours: Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm, 4pm finish on Friday.

- Casual Dress; Smart offices based in East Belfast near Stormont. Hybrid working may be an option.
