Overview

Love optimising online experiences and turning insight into growth? We’re expanding our Ecommerce team at Screwfix, and we’re looking for a Digital Trader to help shape how our customers shop across our website, App and ISDB platforms in the UK and ROI markets. In this role, you’ll take ownership of trading activity for your product categories, driving performance through smart insight, seamless execution and brilliant cross‑functional collaboration. From optimising journeys to spotting new opportunities, you’ll play a key part in growing revenue, improving conversion and delivering an online experience our customers love.

Key responsibilities
  • Own the day‑to‑day trading activity for your categories, ensuring plans are executed brilliantly and revenue targets are met.
  • Work closely with your Digital Trading Manager to align on priorities and bring the category strategy to life.
  • Identify and action trading opportunities quickly, making sure all activity is measurable and reviewed for continuous improvement.
  • Track and analyse category performance, presenting compelling insight that informs decisions and future direction.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing to optimise traffic across email, paid search and affiliates.
  • Plan and deliver merchandising banners and promotional activity that drives conversion.
  • Collaborate with Pricing to execute compliant promotional wording that supports our commercial goals.
  • Test promotions in staging environments, ensuring accuracy before go‑live.
  • Work with Merchandising to optimise product associations, recommendations and findability across search, navigation and facets.
  • Align with Commercial teams to deliver digital execution of trading priorities.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Analytical, confident working with data and able to turn it into smart, timely decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong numerical and Excel skills.
  • Highly organised, adaptable and able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and driven to learn and grow.
  • A self‑starter who takes ownership and works well both independently and with others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
