Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Bruntcliffe Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Curriculum Leader of Design and Technology. This role is of great importance to our work as an academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and motivating pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 to achieve their potential within our teaching programme and through participating in our exciting co-curricular programme. We currently focus our curriculum on Textiles and Food Technology but would be looking to expand into other areas of Design and Technology as the department grows.

This is an exceptionally important role for us here at Bruntcliffe Academy and the successful candidate will be joining us at a key point in our development. Our pupils already demonstrate a strong desire to take part in learning Design and Technology through the number of them who opt to study Hospitality and Catering at Key Stage 4. We want our new leader to have the ambition and skill to grow the department, so our pupils are enthused by a range of different aspects of Design and Technology across both key stages.

The successful candidate will possess a powerful track record as a teacher and will be able to demonstrate the wider impact of their work as a leader.
