Job summary

A dynamic Further Education organisation in Eastleigh is seeking a teaching professional to assist in curriculum management, undertake a teaching programme, and lead designated courses. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, relevant qualifications in Electrical & Carpentry, and a passion for developing engaging educational experiences. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of learners and requires commitment and creativity.

  • Excellent knowledge of recent initiatives in curriculum development and design.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Curriculum Director with curriculum management.
  • Undertake a teaching programme of 350 hours per annum.
  • Act as Course Leader for designated courses.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • To assist the Curriculum Director in the management and review of the curriculum in accordance with College policies, including
  • To undertake a teaching programme and all aspects of the teaching and learning process (equating to 350 taught hours per annum), including
  • To act as a Course Leader for designated course(s)
  • To participate in liaison activities associated with the programme area and those relating to the College provision
  • Develop and maintain professional competence in the post and in other duties performed on behalf of the Curriculum of the College
Qualifications
  • Grade C (or above) or equivalent English and Maths
  • Level 3 qualification in the relevant area of expertise (Electrical & Carpentry)
  • Level 5 Teaching qualification
  • Relevant degree and/or appropriate level of professional qualifications
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Experience in teaching the relevant subject area
  • Excellent knowledge of recent initiatives in curriculum development and design
