Scarsdale Solicitors is an ambitious and growing law firm, recognised for our expertise in criminal law. We are now looking to expand our practice by welcoming experienced Solicitors to our Rochdale office, on either a permanent or contract basis.

This is a rare opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and supportive team in a practice that prides itself on delivering exceptional results for clients facing serious legal challenges.

The Role

You will represent clients across a wide spectrum of criminal law and motor offences, from police station representation through to Magistrates’ and Crown Court advocacy. Matters may include:

• Criminal law cases involving police investigations and CPS prosecutions
• Road traffic offences such as speedings, careless driving, drink/drug driving, causing injury by careless driving, and driving without insurance

About You

We are seeking passionate and driven crime defence lawyers who can hit the ground running and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years PQE in criminal defence law or considerable previous relevant case management/handling experience
• In-depth understanding of the Criminal Justice System (England & Wales)
• Proven track record in handling general criminal law cases
• Strong case management and organisational skills with the ability to handle a busy caseload
• Advocacy experience (police station, Magistrates’ and/or Crown Court)
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to support clients
• A confident communicator with a client-focused, professional approach
