Job description

Agility Resourcing are proud to be recruiting for a well-known firm in Preston. Due to the increase in workload and expansion, a brand new opportunity has come to work as a Credit Control Assistant. You will be working with the Credit Controller and the key purpose of the role is to be the main point of contact for your clients, liaising with them regarding overdue payments as well as assisting with transactions and reports.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Preparing debt collection letters once debts exceed 90 days old
  • Posting unallocated receipts and credit balances
  • Entering daily client receipts onto management systems
  • Detail any communication with the client on systems
  • Sending custom statements and debtor reports out to required members of staff
  • Match off credit notes that have been raised against invoices
  • Ad hoc duties and holiday cover for the finance team

Person specification:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade C or above (including Maths and English)
  • Highly organised with an interest in figures
  • Self-motivated and can work on your own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A team player
  • Previous accounting experience is preferable but full training can be given
