Salary: £100-£120 per day on PAYE

Overview

PK Education is currently seeking a confident, reliable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a friendly and supportive secondary school based in Sheffield S35. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons and managing classroom behaviour in the absence of the regular teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people to build valuable classroom experience.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver set work to students in the absence of the teacher
  • Maintain a calm and focused learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Report back to the teacher on student progress and any issues
  • Support students with their learning where appropriate
Requirements
  • A positive and professional attitude
  • Confidence to lead a class of secondary-aged students
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
