Location: Birmingham

Contract: Full-time or Part-time | Supply
Salary: (£24,840 – £29,960 actual salary, depending on experience) or PAYE Day Rate Equivalent

We’re supporting a secondary school seeking a confident, organised individual to step into short-term teacher absences and keep learning on track. No planning required just great classroom presence, clear instruction, and the ability to hold attention.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects at secondary level
  • Keep students on task and engaged in their learning
  • Maintain a safe, respectful and focused classroom environment
  • Step in and adapt to different classrooms and groups throughout the week
  • Promote the inclusion of all pupils and support a culture of equality and participation

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people (ideally in a school or youth setting)
  • Can establish strong routines and set clear expectations
  • Is confident leading a class and managing behaviour positively
  • Can communicate clearly and calmly under pressure
  • Is proactive, reliable, and happy to work flexibly across the curriculum
