Teaching Personnel are looking for a confident, proactive, and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the Bognor Regis area. This full‑time position is ideal for those seeking to gain hands‑on classroom experience or considering a future career in teaching.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes of students aged 11–16 in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged in their learning and that lessons run smoothly. You’ll work across a range of subjects, maintaining a positive learning atmosphere and supporting pupils where needed, including those with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and oversee pre‑set lesson plans across different subjects for pupils aged 11–16.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Keep students engaged, motivated, and on task.
  • Provide additional support to SEN pupils when required.
  • Give feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil progress and classroom behaviour.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with secondary‑aged pupils is desirable, especially in supporting those with SEN.
  • Confidence in managing a classroom and adapting to different learning environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people’s development.
