A leading security firm is seeking a Security Officer to provide safety and security at a corporate building in London. This role requires an SIA License and a minimum of 3 years experience in the security industry. About the role

Title – Security officer

Pay Rate – £15.00

Location – Guinness building

Shift Timings – Up to 45 hours a week, must be fully flexible and able to work weekends

You will be working in a corporate building where you will be responsible for providing safety and security to the building, property and assets.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal are adhered to
• Report any issues to the supervisor or duty manager
• Always conduct yourself in a professional manner
• To provide regular foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets.
• To provide a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors.
• Respond to emergencies
• Deal with conflict in an appropriate manner if required
• Write up incidents to the standard expected by Management
• Carry out ID checks
• Be vigilant to the Health and Safety risks
• Excellent communication skills to all levels – verbally, written, phone and by security radio’s
• Can work effectively as part of a team or can work on own initiative
• A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenge

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in corporate security or minimum 3 years of experience in security industry
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
