Overview

Roche Health Care are looking to recruit a Cook/Chef to join our friendly team at our Care Home in Selby.

Salary: £13.00phr

Hours: BANK - Kitchen hours are 7.00-3.00pm; 2.00-6.00pm

Must have Catering experience, Care Home experience would be an advantage

We provide a range of care and support services for our older residents, some of whom have dementia.

Responsibilities

The job in Brief:

  • To prepare, cook and serve quality meals and refreshments for all service users within the care home, making sure that all specialist diets are catered for.
  • Maintain documentation of all food ordered and served within realms of service user choice.
  • Monitor and help to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and store areas along with all equipment.
  • The cook must be experienced in cooking from basic ingredients.
  • To hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate which is current and up to date.
  • To have a genuine interest in working within a caring environment. Have an ability to communicate effectively at all levels. To be able to work as part of the team. To have excellent organisational skills is essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous experience is required.

  • Experienced in working in an environment of older people is preferred but not essential.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of high-level commitment to personal development, training and education.
