A well-known legal firm in Wallasey is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Secretary to join their team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for drafting legal documents, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with data protection. Ideal candidates will have experience in a conveyancing environment and be proficient with Microsoft Outlook and case management systems. The position offers a competitive salary of £25,000 to £26,000 depending on experience, with 20 days holiday and bank holidays.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Conveyancing role and familiarity with conveyancing terminology and processes.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Outlook along with other Microsoft systems.
  • Desirable to have experience using a case management system (ideally LEAP).

Responsibilities

  • Request and draft legal documents, including contracts and property searches.
  • Liaise with clients, referrers, estate agents, and solicitors in the conveyancing process.
  • Maintain accurate client files to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Set up files for exchange and completion and handle post-completion tasks.
  • Manage lender portals for mortgage offers and redemption statements.

Conveyancing Secretary

Salary: £25,000 – £26,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: Wallasey, Wirral

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Conveyancing Secretary looking to progress your career in Conveyancing? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑known, multi‑site solicitors at their Wallasey office where you’ll play a pivotal role in providing quotations and taking instructions from clients and then opening the matters on the firm’s Case Management System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requesting and drafting legal documents that include contracts, completion statements, property searches and Land Registry applications.
  • Liaising with clients, referrers, estate agents and other solicitors linked to the conveyancing process.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date client files to ensure compliance is met with data protection regulations.
  • Setting up files for exchange and completion whilst also dealing with post‑completion.
  • Dealing with lender portals to download mortgage offers, requesting redemption statements and keeping the portal up to date.
About You
  • Hold experience in a Conveyancing role and be familiar with conveyancing terminology and processes.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft systems – it would also be desirable to have experience using a case management system (ideally LEAP).
What’s On Offer
  • Competitive salary of £25,000–£26,000 depending on experience.
  • Full‑time, office‑based role with working hours of 09:00-17:15, Mon‑Fri.
  • 20 days holidays & bank holidays.
