Overview

A well-established and busy law firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join its Residential Property and New Build Conveyancing teams. This is a client-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced conveyancing environment and takes pride in delivering an excellent level of service.

The Role

As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will provide essential support across a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including both sales and purchases. Responsibilities will include:

  • Opening new conveyancing files and maintaining case management systems
  • Assisting with residential and new build property transactions from instruction through to completion
  • Preparing contracts, searches, completion statements, and related documentation
  • Handling client enquiries professionally via phone and email
  • Supporting fee earners with administration, filing, post-completion tasks, and billing
Skills & Experience Required
  • Minimum 12 months' experience as a Conveyancing Assistant or in a similar conveyancing support role
  • Experience supporting residential conveyancing sales and purchases
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and instructions accurately
  • Excellent client care, communication, and organisational skills
  • Confident IT and keyboard skills; numerate and literate
  • Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working under pressure
