As a Controls and Integration Engineer you will help redefine the industry by working on diverse projects that require creative problem‑solving and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Experience working with BMS controls systems such as Tridium Niagara 4, AX, Schneider, Trend, Honeywell etc.
- Experience in on‑site commissioning of systems such as AHUs, boiler control or chiller plant components in a variety of buildings.
- Good understanding of writing control strategy.
- Good understanding of electrical installation.
- Flexible and adaptable, willing to travel and spend time away from home.
- Motivated individual in the building automation industry.
- Design, configure and program BMS systems.
- Oversee installation, commissioning and integration of BMS equipment and devices.
- Create and review technical drawings, specifications and control strategies.
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on BMS hardware and software.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults within the BMS, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Repair and replace defective system components when necessary.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with requirements.
- Provide training and handover documentation to end‑users.
- Work closely with the internal project management team to ensure BMS initiatives are delivered to agreed design specifications within time frame and budget.
- Produce detailed daily engineers' reports.
- Understand Health & Safety for a range of site types, taking personal responsibility for yourself and others.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in building automation technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field (not essential – higher qualification in engineering).
- Proven experience working with Building Management Systems (e.g. Tridium, Trend, Honeywell).
- In‑depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of control strategies and automation protocols (e.g. BACnet, Modbus).
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with energy management principles and sustainability practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Additional Requirements
- Regular travel across the UK, with occasional travel in Europe.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Participation in an on‑call rota for remote out‑of‑hours issues.
Compensation
£35,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience) + Company Car or Car Allowance.
