Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, ideally chemical or process.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC configuration and programming, preferably Allen Bradley.
  • Understanding of functional safety design, SIL, LOPA.

Responsibilities

  • Design, specify and install control and safety systems including PLC's, DCS, SCADA, HMI.
  • Program, modify and manage changes in control systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors for control systems.

40 Hour Week, Mon-Fri

Our client is an award winning, family-owned business who have a strong presence in a wide range of sectors including pharmaceutical, flavours and fragrance, personal care and agrochemical to name a few.

Are you an experienced Control Systems Engineer looking for your next challenge? Our client has an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join the E&I team and play a key role in their business.

Key Tasks :
  • Design, specify and install control and safety systems; PLC's, DCS, SCADA, HMI etc
  • Programming, modification and management of change
  • Liaison with control system suppliers, integrators and contractors
  • Support maintenance activities
  • Ensure all work meets the highest safety standards
Skills and experience :
  • Min HNC in Control / Instrumentation Engineering
  • Min 5 of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, ideally chemical or process
  • Strong knowledge of PLC configuration and programming, Allen Bradley preferred
  • Understanding of design for functional safety, SIL, LOPA and Safety Instrumentation
  • Experience of communication protocols including industrial ethernet, Modbus or similar
  • A flexible, safety‑first approach to work
