Job Opportunity: Control Room Supervisor

Location: Greenwich Control Room

Pay Rate: £16.00

SIA Required: Yes

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)

Average Hours: 48 per week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Control Room Supervisor to join our team at the Greenwich Control Room. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast‑paced environment. You will work closely with Operations Managers, Schedulers, Mobile Services and senior management to ensure smooth service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shift Leadership & Compliance: Lead and manage the control room shift.
  • Ensure all paperwork and documentation are completed on time.
  • Maintain accurate staffing hours in the system.
  • Oversee the Health & Safety of staff during out‑of‑hours operations.
  • Schedule and deploy site personnel.
  • Keep the SmartTask system fully updated.
  • Communicate changes promptly to relevant staff.
  • Monitor the Mobile Team: welfare checks and alarm responses.
  • Ensure accurate booking on/off times and escalate issues as needed.
  • Handle last‑minute client requests efficiently.
  • Escalate complaints, incidents, sickness or staffing concerns.
  • Complete daily reports and handovers.
  • Add new staff and subcontractors to the system accurately.
  • Respond to customer calls including Houston Lawrence and Pride monitoring services.
Requirements
  • Must have previous experience in a similar control-room or supervisory role.
  • Valid SIA Licence and DBS check.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office and general IT systems.
  • Previous security industry experience is highly desirable.
