• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Strong technical knowledge in reinforced concrete and groundworks.
• SMSTS / CSCS certification preferred.

Contracts Manager - Groundworks / RC Frames / Civil Engineering - £70,000-£90,000 + package - Rainham / London & South East - Permanent, Full-Time

A fast-growing, specialist subcontractor delivering complex groundworks, RC frames, basements and civil engineering packages is strengthening its senior team. With a strong pipeline of projects up to £10m, an experienced in‑house workforce and recognised ISO accreditations, this business is known for safe, high‑quality, on‑time delivery across London and the South East.

About the role

You will take full commercial and operational ownership of multiple live projects, ensuring programme, cost, quality and HSE compliance across all contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple groundworks / RC frame / civils contracts simultaneously
• Oversee subcontractor performance and commercial compliance
• Ensure programme, budget and resource control
• Attend tender, pre‑start, progress and client meetings
• Implement and monitor RAMS, QA, ITPs and HSE requirements
• Provide reports and updates to senior management
• Drive value engineering and problem‑solving on site
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships

Ideal background

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager (subcontractor)
• Strong technical knowledge of reinforced concrete, groundworks & temporary works
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• SMSTS / CSCS (preferred)
