Responsibilities

• Oversee various commercial flooring projects such as vinyl, laminate, wood, carpets and carpet tile
• Monitor all site activity; organise all site workers, collate risk assessments and carry out health and safety checks
• Organise delivery of all materials needed on site ensuring timely arrival
• Ensure projects run smoothly, maintaining project cost plans and adhering to deadlines
• Liaise with clients and provide project reports
• Attend pre-contract and progress meetings with clients
• Manage projects ranging in value from £250,000 to circa £2,000,000

Qualifications

• Contracts Manager experience within the construction industry, working for a subcontractor or main contractor
• Sound technical knowledge of the flooring market sector (vinyl, laminate, wood, carpets and carpet tile)
• Experience with project sizes of £250,000+
• Ability to gain DBS / EL1 security checks
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) across all levels
• Professional and highly organised
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
