The Role

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in Essex, managing multiple projects across London and the surrounding counties.

This is a great opportunity for an established Contracts Manager or a Site/Project Manager ready to take the next step into a senior commercial and leadership role. You will take responsibility for the commercial, contractual, and operational delivery of construction projects, acting as a key link between clients, site teams, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit tenders and bids to secure new projects
  • Meet with clients to understand requirements and agree scope of works
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, site teams, and project managers
  • Manage subcontractors and third‑party stakeholders to ensure clear communication and accountability
  • Ensure projects meet technical standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
  • Attend site meetings and monitor progress against programme and budget
  • Produce project plans, budgets, cost forecasts, and schedules
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contractual terms
  • Agree budgets, variations, and timescales with clients
  • Liaise with technical, financial, and legal teams through to final account and invoicing
About You
  • Proven experience in a Contracts Manager, Site Manager, or Project Manager role within construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
