A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Interim Contracts & Commercial Lead based in London. The role involves managing the re-procurement of various services including ICT infrastructure. • Ensure compliance with Council policies and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee contract KPIs, performance monitoring, and quality assurance.

Interim Contracts & Commercial Lead

Based in London, hybrid

Length: 3 months initially

Rate: £500 per day via an umbrella company

Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Contracts & Commercial Lead who will manage the re-procurement of the End User Workspace, Hosting, Managed Network, Unified Communications, Security Operations, Telephony and Wide Area Network.

You will lead on commercial strategy, procurement planning, contract management, and supplier performance, ensuring compliance with council governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead all procurement activities for digital, technology, and change services, including consultancy and ICT infrastructure
• Own the 5-year commercial strategy and procurement roadmap for DTaC
• Manage contracts, including renewals, change notices, and onboarding/offboarding of suppliers and applications
• Negotiate and maintain relationships with suppliers to drive performance, innovation, and value for money
• Ensure compliance with Council policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee contract KPIs, performance monitoring, and quality assurance for ICT infrastructure and applications (£18m+)
• Continuously research industry best practices to improve efficiency, governance, and value extraction

Experience and knowledge required:

• Proven experience in supplier management and public sector contract lifecycle management
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to extract maximum value from contracts
