Contract Manager - Main Contractor

Planned Maintenance, FRA, Cladding & SHDF Projects - London & Home Counties

Up to GBP80,000 + Package

My client is a tier one construction contractor recruiting for a Contract Manager to head up several new projects secured around London & Home Counties.

The contracts are long term and consist of Planned maintenance, FRA, SHDF and Cladding projects. The role is based out of one of their head offices in Kent, with projects across North, East & South East London.

Responsibilities

The role will involve working alongside the Contract Manager to ensure P&L, budgets and deadlines are met. You will be responsible for delivering the highest standard of service and quality, along with cost control, creating CPP and programming of works, and budgeting. Implement strong H&S across all projects. Your direct team will include site management, supervisors, RLOs and sub-contractors. You will report directly to the Operations Manager who will support you in delivering contract success.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have extensive building knowledge and experience managing planned maintenance and retrofit contracts. You should have experience managing multiple site teams, strategic project planning and strong problem-solving abilities in complex situations. A good knowledge of up-to-date legislation and strong organisational skills are desired. You should be able to foster a strong working environment where the team collaborates to achieve targets and build strong relationships with the client and team members.

• Experience in internal and external schemes, retrofit, EWI/IWI/CWI, ASHPs, solar panels, loft insulation, roofing
• Strong knowledge of BSR and the Building Safety Act
• Ability to manage and drive teams on site to ensure safe and timely delivery
• IT skills are essential; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Building or refurbishment related qualification with demonstrable experience; Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS, etc.
• Level 3 Leadership & Management Qualification or equivalent, or willingness to work towards
• Previous experience in the social housing sector
• Ideally a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction industry
• Technically minded
