Job description
Project Overview

The expansion of an existing process facility located on a nuclear site in Capenhurst, Cheshire (UK) will increase the deconversion of waste from the Uranium fuel enrichment process. The facility is being expanded in response to changing market dynamics and will provide a major component of the UK’s nuclear energy security strategy. The project scope included the planning of Front‑End Engineering Design (FEED), design optioneering, production of a concept design and is transitioning into the delivery of FEED and construction of enabling works. A follow‑on EPCM contract may be awarded.

Job Summary

In this role you will assist Subcontract Administrators in completing routine duties, closeout, data gathering, document preparation, presentations and training sessions. You will prepare status reports, monitor areas of subcontract performance, and investigate subcontract problems. The position is designated as part‑time telework and may require at least three days of in‑person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in‑person schedules will be determined by the individual and the supervisor in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities
  • Contract Administration – Acts on own initiative on assigned contracts of low to moderate value and complexity.
  • Gathers and compiles support data for the preparation of documents and the management of contracts.
  • Assists Contract Manager or more senior Contract Professionals in completing the various tasks required by the Contract/Subcontract Management Guidebook, Standard Work Process Procedures, and automated contract management systems.
  • Monitors areas of Contract performance as assigned.
  • Conducts investigations and inquiries into specific contract problems as assigned.
  • Organizes materials for the preparation of meetings, presentations and training sessions, and prepares periodic status reports.
  • Works with Digital Supply Chain and other Automation Tools.
  • Contract Formation – Formation and award of small value, routine‑type contracts.
  • Assists with negotiations in commitment of contracts, but directs negotiation in small value contracts.
  • Develops and issues contracts and services agreements as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills
