About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior to Mid Construction Disputes Associate to join an international law firm in the firm’s London office.

The Role

Our client is an international law firm with offices across the UK, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The firm is a full service law firm with established and strong reputation for its expertise in life sciences, education, retail, sports and entertainment and international trade.

The firm’s Construction practice provides a broad range of construction law solutions, advising private and public institutions, property owners, developers, funders, contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers and construction/design consultants.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the most popular standard forms of construction contracts and disputes relating to payment issues, change, defects, termination and professional negligence. There is more of an emphasis in working on both adjudications in the UK as well as in the TCC.

The candidate must demonstrate experience of taking responsibility for the conduct of cases and the ability to work as a team player and build strong client relationships.

The Candidate

  • Construction Solicitor 1 to 3 years’ PQE or equivalent from a reputable firm
  • Experience of construction disputes
  • Excellent analytical, communication and organisation skills
  • Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
