Job Title: Content Manager
Location: Remote, EST hours or Richmond, VA

Job Summary
The Content Manager will be the owner of the organization's enterprise website content strategy, execution, and quality. This role is strictly responsible for managing, optimizing, and governing all content published on the primary corporate website, ensuring that it aligns with business goals, brand standards, and core SEO principles to maximize organic search visibility and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive website content strategy and editorial calendar focused exclusively on the enterprise domain.
- Conduct thorough audience research and keyword research to identify content opportunities and gaps within the existing site architecture.
- Define content performance metrics (KPIs) and track the effectiveness of all website pages, ensuring content supports lead generation and brand authority goals.
- Content Creation & Curation:
- Oversee the creation, revision, and maintenance of all website content, including landing pages, service/product pages, corporate information, and resource centers.
- Write, edit, and proofread all website copy to ensure clarity, technical accuracy, and adherence to the established brand style guide.
- Manage the content production workflow, coordinating with subject matter experts (SMEs), designers, and developers to publish high‑quality website content on schedule.
- Management & Optimization:
- Serve as the primary administrator for the Content Management System (CMS) (e.g., AEM, Sitecore, or similar enterprise platform).
- Implement on-page SEO best practices across all website content, focusing on title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking structure, and content length/depth.
- Conduct regular content audits to identify outdated, underperforming, or redundant content and manage the content lifecycle (update, archive, or sunset).
- Performance & Governance:
- Analyze website content performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and heatmapping software.
- Provide regular reports on website traffic, organic search ranking improvements, user behavior (time on page, bounce rate), and content-driven conversions.
- Enforce content governance policies and maintain the company's website content style guide and editorial guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of dedicated experience managing content for a large-scale corporate or enterprise website.
- Proven, hands‑on experience with a robust, enterprise-level Content Management System (CMS).
- Demonstrable expertise in advanced SEO techniques specifically for website content (technical, on-page, and informational content).
