Experience & Knowledge
- Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required to gain UK CCT in General & Geriatric Medicine or Neurology or Acute Medicine
- Appropriate experience in Stroke Medicine & delivery of Thrombolysis.
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
- An understanding of the requirements of Clinical Governance and Audit.
- Knowledge & understanding of role of ethical committee
- Ability to develop clinical specialities
Skills & Ability
- Ability to organise and manage outpatient/inpatient priorities in accordance with Trust requirements
- Ability and willingness to work within the Trust and NHS performance framework and targets
- Experience of audit management
- Knowledge of Complaints; ethical issues and Clinical Governance
- Prompt & timely responsiveness to Management agenda
- Ability to synthesise and prioritise complex and conflicting information
Other Specific Requirement
- Understanding of Training system and active participation in training structures/trainee supervision
- Experience of teaching medical students
- Ability to teach clinical skills
