Job description
Overview

Applications are invited for a dynamic and motivated Consultant Radiologist with an interest in head and neck imaging at Frimley Health. The post will support increasing workload commitments and reporting requirements to support the opening of Slough CDC. We are offering an opportunity to join an established and pro-active team to respond to our growing service. The post will be cross-site with base hospital at Wexham Park Hospital. This is a role for a Consultant radiologist with an interest in Head and Neck imaging. It is a full time post comprising of 11 PA\'s inclusive of on call. Frimley Health has several sites and the post holder may undertake sessions outside of Wexham Park. The successful applicants will provide a full range of general radiology including CT, MRI, plain film and ultrasound. Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings is also expected.

Teaching: The Radiology team at Wexham Park, Heatherwood and Parapet sites are part of the Oxford Deanery Radiology Training Scheme.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Audit & Clinical Governance
  • A half day per month is dedicated to audit and teaching. All elective work is cancelled for this session and staff are expected to attend and participate as part of clinical governance arrangements. There is also a developing peer review programme and errors meeting. All CPD requirements must be met.
  • Consultant meetings are held monthly and are chaired by the Clinical Lead.
  • On Call: The post requires participation in a full and active on call service with internal cover.
  • Other Sites: Frimley Health has several sites delivering Radiology services and the post holder will undertake a number of sessions outside Wexham Park.
