Job overview

The successful candidate will be expected to integrate into the respiratory department and develop their own interests. We seek an enthusiastic candidate with broad experience in respiratory and general medicine.

The job plan is illustrative of current working arrangements, and the respiratory department is willing to collaborate with the candidate to tailor a plan that meets the Trust's needs and aligns with the candidate's skills and interests.

We particularly value candidates skilled in bronchoscopy/endobronchial ultrasound or pleural procedures to strengthen our team. There are two posts, one at The Princess Royal Hospital and one at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

Contribution to an out-of-hours on-call rota is a core aspect of this role.

Main duties of the job

• Support respiratory medicine services in clinics, wards, and for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team with excellent teamwork skills.
• Achieve clinical and quality targets set nationally and locally, in collaboration with clinical teams, managers, and commissioners.
• Follow patients through their clinical pathways.
