Job description
Overview

An Orthopaedic Surgeon opportunity at Practice Plus Group in Birmingham Hospital. Join a multi-discipline team in a modern facility focused on safe, effective patient care with high clinical governance and high volumes of work. Responsibilities
  • Perform surgical procedures on patients referred to the hospital, in accordance with hospital protocols and working practices.
  • Treat both NHS and private patients referred to the hospital.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team, delivering high-quality orthopaedic care and contributing to same-day discharge arthroplasty pathways with an enhanced recovery programme.
  • Participate in developing and improving pathways to achieve shorter length of stay and strong patient outcomes.
  • Report to the Medical Director and provide expert clinical opinion on elective orthopaedic procedures when required.
Qualifications
  • GMC Specialist Registration in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
  • Demonstrated high-volume experience in orthopaedic surgery.
  • Strong clinical outcomes supported by NJR or equivalent data.
  • Excellent theatre efficiency and patient care record.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, and patient satisfaction.
