Vacancy at Northumbria Healthcare

A vacancy in the Clinical Psychology Service for Older Adults at North Tyneside. The post holder works across the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Provide systematic, high quality, highly specialised clinical psychology service to older adults living in North Tyneside.
  • Advise the Trust on the development of such services.
  • Offer expert, highly specialised neuropsychological advice to patients with acquired brain injury across the adult age range, including older adults, and to families and other health and social services professionals involved in their care.
  • Inform Trust-wide decision making about services for people with acquired brain injury, informed by neuropsychological expertise.
  • Deliver highly specialised neuropsychological assessments on special request to any other area served by the Trust, following discussion with a referring consultant or other senior officer.
  • Provide expert advice regarding the psychological care of older adults and clinical neuropsychology to Trust-wide services (e.g. Stroke Northumbria) and to relevant officers and committees with a Trust-wide remit.
Location

North Tyneside, with service provision across the Trust’s geographical area including Wansbeck, Hexham and smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed.
