Main duties of the job

About the Role

As a Consultant, you will:

  • Deliver comprehensive oral care to adults with learning disabilities, complex medical conditions, and challenging behaviours.
  • Use a full range of techniques including behavioural management, inhalation sedation, and general anaesthesia.
  • Provide clinical leadership and a specialist referral service for eligible patients.
  • Support and supervise the training of community dentists, dental core trainees, specialist trainees, and postgraduates.
  • Collaborate closely with the Derbyshire operational leadership team and contribute to services across CDS-CIC as needed.
