Job Summary

We are excited to offer a new full-time Consultant post in Neurology, created to support the expansion of our service. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team who deliver high-quality neurological care across Hampshire.

About the Team

You will join a team of experienced Consultant Neurologists and a dedicated specialist nursing team with expertise in MS, MND, Parkinson's Disease, Epilepsy, and Neurorehabilitation. The role is supported by an administrative team.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide outpatient neurology clinics and respond to inpatient referrals.
  • Participate in clinical governance, neuro-radiology meetings, and CPD activities.
  • Contribute to service development, education of junior staff, and multidisciplinary team working.

Person Specification
Professional Qualifications (Essential)
  • Full GMC with a licence to practice
  • Broad experience in all aspects of Neurology
  • Sufficient postgrad experience in clinical Neurology
  • Holder of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or within six months of award of CCT or equivalent by date of interview
Professional Qualifications (Desirable)
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Attended appropriate training courses
Clinical Experience & Knowledge (Essential)
  • Experienced with clinic audit and clinical governance
Clinical Experience & Knowledge (Desirable)
  • Demonstrable sub‑specialty interest
  • Evidence of audit/QI projects that changed practice
